Here are the details of the Toronto Pond Hockey Festival and how to start a team:

1. Choose the date for your team in the Corporate Challenge OR from the main festival weekend of the Festival that works for your team.

2.  Send an email to your company/friends inviting people to join your pond hockey team as part of this year’s Toronto Pond Hockey Festival.  See below for a sample email.

3.  Register at www.torontopondhockey.ca

 

A.  Sample Recruitment Email – Corporate Challenge

Do you play hockey?  Did you love the NHL Winter Classic?  Would you like to be part of our own Winter Classic?  Then join our [YOUR ORGANIZATION/COMPANY] Pond Hockey Team!

A group of us here at [YOUR ORGANIZATION/COMPANY] are forming a team for this year’s Toronto Pond Hockey Festival – Corporate Challenge.

What is the Toronto Pond Hockey Festival, you ask?

The Toronto Pond Hockey Festival is an outdoor winter festival of pond hockey right here in downtown Toronto in the Port Lands (525 Commissioners Street). The funds raised through the Toronto Pond Hockey Festival benefits a cops and kids program: Eric The Red Rowing League for Kids.  Things take place during the Family Day Weekend for adults and kids… along with a 1-Day Corporate Challenge options during the week!

Team of six (6) play 4-on-4 against industry rivals.  All skill levels are welcome even those who haven’t been on skates in a years.  There are mens, womens and co-ed teams so all are welcome!

Who: Teams of six players play 4-on-4.
What: Toronto Pond Hockey Festival Corporate Challenge – 1-Day Tournament against industry rivals
Where: 525 Commissioner St., shipping channel turning basin
When: Our choice of weekday corporate challenge dates (Feb 10-12) or weekend (Feb. 14 or 15)
Why: Raise funds for cops and kids program: Eric the Red Sports League for Kids
How: Sign up your team of six today:  torontopondhockey.ca

Our team is called [TEAM NAME], and we’re inviting all our coworkers to join. We’re trying to get as many people to join our team.

Team of six (6) play 4-on-4 against.  All skill levels are welcome even those who haven’t been on skates in a years.  There are men’s, women’s and co-ed teams so all are welcome!
